The mornings have a chill and that means harvest time is upon us.  In the transportation planning world, projects are on the ground now. 

The Higgins Roundabout is open and working well, the new bike lanes on several streets are in use and angled parking on spruce is back-in instead of pull-in.  Bulbouts on the Safe Routes to Schools are welcomed even though a few need to be trimmed back due to creating bike lane hazards. 

Pedal Festival, 9/19, at Cras park was a sucess, the Free Cycles shop is humming along, and the world's largest Ghost Bike made it's debut in the Day of the Dead parade. 

As we head to winter, planning for 2010 heats up.  This includes getting Missoula's first bicycle boulevard (working with neighborhoods), and looking at a possible downtown Piazza (car-free block or street).
